The DAESSY Locking Swing-away Mount - DLSA7
A downward pull on the release cable located below the Horizontal Tube allows the LOCKING SWING-AWAY MOUNT to be swung away from the user in the manner of a gate.
The LOCKING SWING-AWAY MOUNT may be locked in the swung-out position but on a lightweight manual wheelchair the device must be removed before the chair is left vacant. This photograph was taken using a power chair without batteries or motors.
The device may often be left on the mount when it is swung all the way round beside the wheelchair.
