Rigid Mount
The standard RIGID MOUNT is a simple right angle tube assembly made from a Vertical Tube, which may have an S-bend, and a Horizontal Tube joined rigidly by a Tube Connector. The Vertical Tube is held by a Frame Clamp Assembly on the wheelchair.
The mounted device should be detached from the RIGID MOUNT when the mount is swung around beside the wheelchair.
The Vertical Tube can vary in length and shape and may be assembled from two tubes to modify the standard assembly for specific applications.
The custom RIGID MOUNT shown in this and the preceding picture is using the Sideways Tilting Quick Release Base (USBA) to place the mounted device to suit a specific viewing angle. Refer to 'Quick Release for Mounted Device' on the DAESSY Mounting System page.
In its simplest form the RIGID MOUNT can be a right angle bent tube. This may be particularly useful for a mount on a very small wheelchair as shown.
