The Adjustable Stem Connector is a spherical shaped aluminum connector with two externally threaded ends. An approximate 45 degree cut through the sphere with a bolt holding the two pieces together allow for adjustment from 90 degrees to 180 degrees by holding one half rigid and twisting the other into the desired position. Once in the desired position the two halves are tightened by a 3/16 inch Allen Key.

The Adjustable Stem Connector is locked by friction using a single bolt. If it becomes overloaded the bolt holding the Connector together will loosen. An Adjustable Stem Connector tightened with a normal amount of force will be more than tight enough for regular use.
