Original Mounts
DAESSY Original Mounts are suited for all style of AAC devices up to 15lbs. The choice of an appropriate mount assembly will depend on a number of factors including the abilities of the user, the type of device and the type of wheelchair.
PLEASE NOTE: Not all DAESSY mount assemblies are appropriate for all situations. A team of professionals and therapists working with an individual AAC user must determine which mount is most suitable. In some cases, it may be necessary to modify a standard mount configuration or assemble a custom solution. DAESSY wheelchair mounts are compatible with most wheelchairs.
Rigid Mount
The DAESSY Rigid Mount provides a simple, sturdy and adaptable mounting support. The mount consists of two tubes joined with a rigid connection at a right-angle. Lifting slightly allows the mount to be rotated around to the side. The mount is non-directional and may be installed on either side of a wheelchair.
Angle Connector Rigid Mount
The DAESSY Angle Connector Rigid Mount provides a strong and simple mounting support with extensive device position adjustability. The mount consists of two tubes joined with a rigid connection that can be set at any angle. The mount is non-directional and may be installed on either side of a wheelchair.
Folding Mount ROP
The top horizontal tube of a Folding Mount can be lifted and rotated down to the side to move a device away. The mount is easily removed from the wheelchair and in the folded configuration forms a more compact unit for storage or transport. The Folding Mount ROP includes a locking style frame clamp receiver to secure for use on tilting seat frames. The mount is non-directional and may be installed on either side of a wheelchair.
Swing Aside Mount
The top horizontal tube of a Swing Aside Mount can be rotated to move a device away independently by pushing the cable that releases a positioning lock-pin. The Swing Aside Mount includes a locking style frame clamp receiver to secure for use on tilting seat frames. The mount is non-directional and may be installed on either side of a wheelchair.
Positioner Mount
Achieve the ideal position and angle through 6 points of adjustment. The Positioner Mount allows simple and flexible positioning adjustment for height, angle and location through the use of two articulating joints and a height adjustment collar.
