Outer Pieces + Receivers
The Outer Piece or Receiver supports the Side Vertical tube of a DAESSY Mount Assembly. The style of Outer Piece or Receiver is determined by the choice of mounting assembly. The Side Vertical tube of a DAESSY Mount has a component that works with the Outer Piece or Receiver and must match in style.
All components are available for individual purchase; however it is important to check the correct components are selected for the mount series and mount assembly style to fit existing systems. Early model Folding Mounts (DFM2) may be retrofitted with the ROP-RFCR components to add the lock feature and for use on tilt seat systems.
Removable Frame Clamp Receiver (RFCR)
The Removable Frame Clamp Receiver (RFCR) is the most common style of outer piece receiver used with the majority of Original Series mounts and all M-Series Mini Mounts. The RFCR Receiver has a lock knob that turns 90 degrees to secure the mount in place and un-locks quickly for easy removal of the mount from the wheelchair. The locking feature of the RFCR Receiver provides security for use of the mount on a tilted seat system.
The associated interface component that fits into the RFCR Receiver varies, however all have the same slotted section that slides into the RFCR Receiver. Original Series mounts, excluding the DPM9 Positioner Mount, use the ROP Removable Outer Piece on the side vertical tube. The DPM9 Positioner Mount uses the AHOP Adjustable Height Outer Piece on the lower side vertical tube. M-Series Mini Mounts, excluding the M75AM Mini Adjustable Mount, use the M75FOP Mini Series Outer Piece; the M75AM Mini Adjustable Mount uses the M75AOP Mini Adjustable Outer Piece.
Frame Clamp Outer Piece (UFCOP)
The Frame Clamp Outer Piece (UFCOP) is the original DAESSY outer piece used today with the Rigid Mount (DRM1). The UFCOP Outer Piece has a tube hole the mount body arm fits into, with a positioning pin that sits upward for the hole of the Index Clamp (IC1) to rest onto. The positioning pin holds the mount rotation in place, however with a Rigid Mount (DRM1) it is possible to lift the arm 1/4 inch to swing the mount around without fully removing from the frame clamp assembly. The UFCOP Outer Piece style must be installed vertical or within 15 degrees of angle and remain within this range during use.

Description:
Basic non-locking Frame Clamp Outer Piece for use with the Standard Series Rigid Mount (DRM1), Bent-Pole Rigid Mount (DRMRT) or Side Folding Mount (DFM2). This component is the outer piece of the frame clamp assembly for those mounts and is attached to the rest of the frame clamp components on the wheelchair. The pin provides a docking point for the IC1 attached to the mount itself to connect with.
The upright tube of a mount installed with this component should not be used more than 15 degrees from vertical.

Description:
Outer connector for the Basic Standard Series Frame Clamp Assembly (non-locking) of the Rigid Mount (DRM1), Bent Pole Rigid Mount (DRMRT) or Side Folding Mount (DFM2).
This component is attached to the lower end of the vertical tube of the mount and connects with the Basic Frame Clamp Outer Piece (UFCOP) attached to the wheelchair by docking with the raised pin on the UFCOP. The 3 docking holes in the IC1 enable 3 different positions.

Description:
Outer Piece for the Locking Frame Clamp assembly of Standard Series and M-Series Mounts. Attached to a frame clamp inner piece (or link/spacer), this ‘receiving’ half of the locking outer assembly has the blue-handled lock to secure the mount in position. This Outer Piece is suitable for use where the tube needs to be installed more than 15 degrees off vertical.
